My One and Only: Book 1 in the Love and Weddings Trilogy by: Shannon Guymon

My One and Only: Book 1 in the Love and Weddings Trilogy by: Shannon Guymon

ABOUT THE BOOK:

Meredith Jensen has seen her share of ups and downs. She’s found love twice already and lost it in spectacularly traumatic ways. Now? She just wants a peaceful life, free from love and drama. Meredith’s plans for the future center around planning other people’s weddings and her new online dating website. Just because she works to help other people find love doesn’t mean she wants any part of it though. Unfortunately for Meredith’s plans, Asher Murphy is determined to get her to give love another chance. But then again, so is Pule Matafeo. Meredith has never denied that she’s stubborn and feisty so it might take the combined forces of all their friends in Fircrest to get her heart back on track in time for Valentine’s Day.

MY THOUGHTS:

These Fircrest books keep getting better and better! I had a binge reading weekend and read 3 of them! Meredith needed her own story..... After all she put herself through for Kam it was only fair that she have her own story. She is so hard headed though I wasn't sure if she was going to get her happy ending. It takes a lot of effort to learn to open ones heart to other people after being hurt and that is just what she has to learn to do. After Ivy and Cleo Asher was due for a happy ending as well. He seems like such a great guy in the other books even though he is kind of spoiled that I wanted to see them together. They end up going into business together and open an online dating service. How can you expect other people to fall in love around you when you are still figuring it out yourself. They definitely had their work cut out for them. I love that it ends on Valentine’s day because that is my wedding anniversary so that day is extra special to me!! I love how these stories come together and the more you read the more you fall in love with the town of Fircrest! Shannon Guymon is awesome! Read all her books, I am slowly working towards that myself!

Tough Love: Book 3 in the Love and Trust Trilogy By: Shannon Guymon

Tough Love: Book 3 in the Love and Trust Trilogy By: Shannon Guymon

ABOUT THE BOOK:

Taryn Downing has made a name for herself as a smart, tough businesswoman. The title she doesn't want though is Cougar. But Brogan Moore, the man she has feelings for has given her an ultimatum: Tell the world they're together, or he walks. As Taryn watches Brogan walk out of her life, she has to ask herself, if her pride is more important than Love. Taryn isn't the only one who has issues with pride and image though. Brogan will have to decide if Taryn is the woman for him, or if his parents are right and he would be better off playing it safe.

MY THOUGHTS:

This book was definitely named well! Taryn is stubborn and becomes the biggest obstacle to her own happiness. She and Brogan have both liked each other for years but because of an age difference she doesn't want to pursue it. It think it is society that has made age differences weird. I can only think of one couple I know that is actually that same age. I see nothing wrong with marrying younger or older your heart what your heart wants. Her temper reminded me of mine.  I totally would have reacted the same way she did in a few of her situations. I know how hard it to get past our normal frame of mind and open up to something new! I'm glad that she was able to change her way of thinking and see find her happiness!

Be Mine: Book 2 in the Love and Trust Trilogy by: Shannon Guymon

Be Mine: Book 2 in the Love and Trust Trilogy by: Shannon Guymon

ABOUT THE BOOK:

Men are terrifying to Bailey Downing. Not that she wants anyone to know that, but with her mom insisting she fall in love and Kam Matafeo pushing her to feel things she doesn't want to feel, Bailey is determined to make a nice, safe choice. Dean Hogan is the perfect man for her. Smart, wealthy, charming and best of all, safe. But when her romance begins to unravel with Dean, she's faced with a choice: open her heart, or stay safe, cold and lonely. Kam is determined to help Bailey no matter what it takes and with the support of her sister Taryn and her brother Rob, she makes the decision to be brave. But Kam's ex-girlfriend Meredith isn't shy about wanting him back. Bailey will have to learn to fight for what she really wants. The question is, would she rather be safe or would she rather be loved.

MY THOUGHTS:

I know I say this after every book but I really LOVE the Fircrest books! Bailey had a secret from her past that comes out to re-haunt her. She thinks that everyone will be ashamed and hate her but instead it's just the opposite. Her and Kam and such a sweet story and after the things that happened in her past she needs a large Samoan warrior not some desk worker to love and protect her. I was happy that she is able to overcome her past. Then come out stronger than ever! Of course she also gets her happy ending! Shannon never disappoints a must read for sure!

Note: I was given this book by Shannon Guymon in exchange for an honest review!

ABOUT THE BOOK:
**Amazon Top 10 in Women's Christian Fiction**

The Boardwalk Antiques Shop
A Tangerine Street Romance
(a novel in three parts)

“Where Every Antique has a Story”

MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE: Jennifer is newest owner of The Boardwalk Antiques Shop, inherited from her aunt. When Jennifer arrives in Seashell Beach, her first priority is to meet with a realtor to sell the place. She laughs out loud when she discovers the realtor’s name is Mr. Studly. But the more Jennifer gets to know Paul Studly, the more she finds reasons to stay and run the antiques shop herself.

SOLVING FOR X: Abbie is only a little bit obsessed with antiques, okay, a lot. So when Holden, an out-of-town business executive, tries to purchase the tin soldiers that Abbie’s had her eye on, Abbie refuses to back down. The antiques shop owner issues a challenge: whoever comes up with the best story for wanting the soldiers, will become the new owner. Abbie isn’t about to let some fancy executive beat her out, no matter how charming he is.

A STITCH IN TIME: When Cate learns that antiques dealer Henry Lancaster has purchased the sewing machine left to her by her grandmother, Cate is determined to get it back. What she isn’t counting on is that Henry has just as much claim as Cate. And it doesn’t help that Henry is good-looking and apparently single. Getting to know Henry becomes an unexpected surprise, sending her life into a sudden detour.

Other books in the Tangerine Street Romance series: The Fortune Café

MY THOUGHTS:
What a great book of 3 feel good clean romances! I loved all 3 of these stories it is a great companion to the Fortune Café. If you haven’t read that yet you should. I bought this book for my Mother for her 67th birthday. She finished it in a day and said she couldn’t put it down. She isn’t one to read that quickly that is more my thing! I enjoyed it just as much as she did. I love that although they are 3 separate stories they are all tied to the Antique Shoppe and I was glad that we got to read the story of the shop first. I hope there is a book 3 at some point that tells some more of the stories of this town. Although all 3 stories are short they feel complete and were all happy endings! If you enjoy feel good clean romance I highly recommend this book!
