Running might be her only chance at survival, but Cassidy won't allow another family member to be killed in her place.

This must-read sequel to Dead Running will have you laughing, biting your nails, and hoping for more.

"Cami does a great job of grabbing the reader right from the get-go with a siege on the main character's home. Throw in an abduction, cross country run, hostage situation, and some explosives and you'll get a good idea of how this piece starts with action and doesn't stop until the very end." E.M. Tippetts, author, Castles on the Sand

"Dying to Run is a fast read with plenty of action and humor sprinkled throughout. And what a perfect title! Whether you like to run or not, you'll enjoy this one!" Lo Johnston, reviewer. Lojwriting.blogspot.com

MY THOUGHTS:
I loved Dead Running so much and couldn't wait to start this one. Then I couldn't put it down until I was done. It's the best when an Author expands on the characters you grow to love and I loved reading more of Cassidy and Dr. Tattoo's story! I also liked hear the end of all the excitement of the first book! Cami never disappoints me! This was another awesome book!!!!

A light-hearted and clean romantic suspense, by #1 Bestselling Christian author, Cami Checketts, Dead Running will have you lacing up your running shoes and racing for the sequel, Dying to Run.
"Dead Running was everything I was hoping it would be, captivating, invigorating, and a page turner that I could not, would not, put down! Cami Checketts writes books that will make you think, and make you feel. She captivated me with The Sister Pact, and doesn't lose speed with her newest 'must read', Dead Running."
Sheila DeChantal, Book Reviewer - Book Journey
"Dead Running can make a claim not many mystery/thrillers can, and that is that it is also really funny. I loved everything about the book. There was murder, romance, family bonds, 5K training, humor, good guys, bad guys, and an ending that left room for a sequel."
Vicki, Book Reviewer - I'd Rather Be Reading At The Beach

MY THOUGHTS:
I am so glad this book as a sequel because I loved it so much! I can't wait to start the next one! This book is full of suspense and action, and it's a real page turner! Once again Cami tackles a subject not often talked about. She makes your really think about the issues at hand but keep you entertained at the same time. Her talent never ceases to amaze me! I have read that Cami is big into fitness herself so I wondered how much of the running and training in this book is personal experience. She always keeps things real in her books. That is one of the best things about them! Cami Checketts is my favorite Author! trust me when I say you will LOVE her books! Please try one out if you haven't already!

ABOUT THE BOOK:

Trusting the wrong person had gotten his father killed. CIA agent Ed Carter isn't about to repeat the mistake. ABOUT THE BOOK:
Rafe Kelly never thought he’d fall in love with Claire Michaels, the hostage negotiator sent to get him out of a life or death situation. Though it was easy to see from the beginning that Claire was good at her profession, Rafe quickly realized she was even better for him personally―and that they might have a future together.

When they get back from their mission in Afghanistan, however, Claire goes back to the Hostage Negotiation Team and Rafe is left to deal with the huge hole in his life after leaving the SEALs. Trying to balance an uncertain future with a new relationship is made even more complicated when a family crisis strikes. Will Rafe and Claire be able to turn to each other for strength or are they over before they’ve really begun?

(Takes place directly following All Fall Down Hostage Negotiation Team #1)

MY THOUGHTS:
This was a great little novella to help you to get to know Claire and Rafe's story better! I liked the connection they had with each other from the start and how they were looking out for each other. I had forgotten all the exciting things that happen for them in Ashes Ashes and had to go back and remind myself :) (a little embarrassing on my part) It made their story even sweeter to have that reminder, so I was glad I needed to do it, sometimes my mind gets away from me. I love these side looks of the characters that the Authors give us because it helps us to fall in love with them even more. This story is such a great one and so sweet. I can't wait to read more about Claire and Rafe in the other books! I really do love all of the hostage negotiation team series :) All in all it was another great book by Julie!

Note: I was gifted this book by the Author in exchange for an honest review!

MY THOUGHTS:

I LOVED THIS BOOK! I continue to be impressed with Julie's style of writing!  I am excited to be able to start another series since I am almost done with the Hostage Negotiation ones. The suspense in her novels is awesome! You are hooked from the start and although they have a bit of clean romance they have enough action that they are great for any reader. I know that my teenager will love her books! I love that she is able to write so much action and suspense yet keep them clean from bad words and such. Just like anything else you don't need smut to sell a great book (or movie).  Julie definitely proves that in her books! If you haven't tried her books yet you should!

"I love Cami Checketts! Her books never disappoint! This one really hit home for me. I made some choices when I was young that could have easily landed me where Sydney was. Luckily for me, they didn't when I was young and unmarried. However, this story really touched me and I related to it more than I care to admit. I also don't want to spoil the story but I also have faced what she did and felt pain and loss. All around it was an excellent novella and my favorite of the set." Julia Lance, Book Reviewing Rocks

Rough Edges: Allie's Story, A Companion to the Sweet Montana Bride Series (Second Chances Book 1) By: Kimberly Krey

Rough Edges: Allie's Story, A Companion to the Sweet Montana Bride Series (Second Chances Book 1) By: Kimberly Krey

(Learn more about Kimberly Krey at - http://kimberlykrey.wix.com/kimberlykrey )

ABOUT THE BOOK:
Divorced mother, Allie Emerson, never imagined she'd be raising two teenage girls on her own. Between parenting and paying the bills, she hasn't even thought about meeting a man. That changes once she hears local carpenter, Braden Fox, is in need of a secretary. Back in high school, Allie had done all she could to deny the sparks burning between her and Braden; but would the chemistry still be there after all this time?

Braden has heard all about what Terrance did to Allie and the girls, has been planning to stop by and see how she's getting along, but Allie beats him to it by showing up at his shop in search of a job. Her unexpected visit reignites the old flame Braden used to torch for her; trouble is, old feelings of resentment return as well. Allie did choose Terrance over him, after all. And as much as Braden wants Allie in his life, he's not sure he can open his heart to her again.

With this second chance at romance, will the
bumps in their relationship be too much to get over,
or will this carpenter learn to smooth out the past?
Kimberly Krey lives up to her motto: "Romance that's clean without losing the steam."

"I have not often read books by authors who are
able to write such a captivating story with such amount of romance and
sizzle and yet keep it 100% clean. This will definitely be a keeper and I
look forward to the next book in this series!
"  Mylissa, Amazon Reviewer

"Kimberly Krey ...always has amazing chemistry between the two main characters. I really
like that she writes passionately but not graphically. She gives you
that great kiss but doesn't need to push the envelope (thank you I
appreciate that)."
AlwaysLookingForaGoodRead, Amazon Review

MY THOUGHTS:
I COULD NOT PUT THIS BOOK DOWN. I loved to be able to read Allie’s story you get to read about her a bit in the Montana Bride series since she is their cousin. I love when an Author takes the characters from their other books and gives them their own stories because you sometime find yourself wanting to make one up for them as well. This one definitely had come good steam in it!!! The romance scence were more intense than the other books but she still kept them very clean. It was a great book and I loved Aille and Braden’s story and was glad they were able to get together after so many years! Can’t wait to read the next one in this series… Love Kimberly’s books!

Cassie’s Cowboy Crave Sweet Montana Bride Series Book 3 By: Kimberly Krey

Cassie’s Cowboy Crave Sweet Montana Bride Series Book 3 By: Kimberly Krey
(Learn more about Kimberly Krey at - http://kimberlykrey.wix.com/kimberlykrey )
ABOUT THE BOOK:
Cassie’s words dangled in the air like an invitation, warm and welcome. He couldn’t likely bring her home without a simple kiss, now, could he? When their eyes met, Shane tilted his head, asking for permission with the lift of his brow. She nodded slightly – a silent response – yet the best thing he’d heard in weeks – Yes.

Twenty-four-year-old Cassie Lovell has a great job, good friends, and an apartment with a killer view. That is, until life is turned upside down. Without the chance to say goodbye, Cassie is forced into a witness protection program on Emerson Ranch. Just when she fears life is doomed, Cassie meets Shane Emerson, the stunningly handsome cowboy who’ll be posing as her newlywed groom.
Shane Emerson is determined not to fall for the woman he’s agreed to harbor. Especially since the whole thing was his family’s way of trying to get him hitched. So why is it when he takes Cassie into his home, Shane wants nothing more than to turn their make-believe marriage into more than just a sham?
In a moment of weakness, Shane steals a kiss.
In return, Cassie steals his heart.
Yet before they confess their undying love,
a hidden danger threatens to tear them apart.

*Though this novel is considered clean romance, it contains passionate kissing & a few mild curse words.

MY THOUGHTS:
I was lucky enough to discover this book when it was in the breathtaking box set. I really appreciate the way that Kimberly can have such a nice romance to read but she does it in a clean way! The characters are all very likeable and I really enjoyed reading Cassie and Shane's story. I was excited to learn I will get to read the others stories as well.

It was good to finally see Shane get his chance at love after watching his brothers fall in love. It is crazy that they got married so that other people wouldn’t realize that she was in witness protection. I don’t think I could have done that. Then to try to act like a married couple when they are around people yet they hardly knew it other would have been equally difficult. However I loved their story and how they were able to get to know each other and fall in love! As I’ve said before, I enjoy the way that Kimberly writes romance. It is kind of intense yet tasteful and clean. It is definitely worth the read! It shows that romance novels can be enjoyable even in a clean way and I look forward to more of her books in the future!

Jade’s Cowboy Crush: Sweet Montana Bride Series Book 2 By: Kimberly Krey

Jade’s Cowboy Crush: Sweet Montana Bride Series Book 2

By: Kimberly Krey
(Learn more about Kimberly Krey at - http://kimberlykrey.wix.com/kimberlykrey )
ABOUT THE BOOK:
Single mother, Jade Miller, has just witnessed a murder. Now, set to testify against the cold-blooded killer, Jade must be placed under protection. While she is grateful to the kind folks who’ve offered to take in her and her son, Jade is surprised to find the man escorting them from L.A. to Montana is Gavin Emerson. A womanizing, far-too-attractive-for-his-own-good, rebel cowboy. Jade assures Gavin that she has sworn off men until her son is grown, but all too soon she finds herself fighting back feelings for the man who’s agreed to care for them.

Gavin wants nothing to do with ranch life. Not since the ugly fallout he had with his father over eight years ago. But when he agrees to come back, harboring Jade and her son for a time, Gavin falls in love with life on the land once again. Above that, he finds his heart has been captured by his lovely house guest, Jade Miller.

After reservations on both parts, the two are finally ready to open up and give their new-found love a try. Only they aren’t in the clear just yet, and as a dark and deadly threat falls upon them, Gavin finds that his bad-boy past may have led the danger right to their door.

Excerpt: Jade wasn’t sure why she wanted him to think she was asleep. Perhaps to appear as if she hadn’t been waiting for him. Besides, he’d done his job, finished massaging her back, and what they both needed was a good night’s sleep. Nothing more. Yet as Gavin sunk onto the edge of her bed, ran a feathery-light finger over her arm, Jade wanted something more than a simple night’s sleep. She froze in place, stunned as she felt him lean over her, the bed slightly creaking beneath his weight. Her heart skipped at least two beats while she waited, working to keep her breaths slow and even. It wasn’t until she felt his warm breath on her face that she realized just how close he’d gotten. Did he plan to kiss her in her sleep? Like sleeping beauty?
The idea caused a sudden streak of tingling anticipation to skitter over her flesh. If his lips touched hers, would she kiss him back? She imagined wrapping her hand around the back of his neck, indulging in the moment.
Suddenly it seemed as if her heart was working to make up for the lost beats – pounding in excess to a near painful degree. Please, Gavin, she pled inwardly. Please just kiss me.
Without a conscious thought, she let her lips part slightly. Gavin’s warm breath met hers, the seductive sensation causing Jade to silently grip fistfuls of the sheets at her sides.
Wanting.
Craving.

*Though this novel is considered clean romance, it does contain passionate kissing scenes and a few mild curse words.*

MY THOUGHTS:
I think this was my favorite of the series! I liked Gavin’s rebellious attitude that didn’t want anything to do with the family business. Kind of reminds me of me. J Gavin and Jade’s story just made me think a lot of me and my husband. All the great time we had when we were dating and just kind of how we treated each other and all that! I didn’t have a kid like Jade but he did…. As I’ve said before, I enjoy the way that Kimberly writes romance. It is kind of intense yet tasteful and clean. If you love romance novels this is definitely a series to read!

Reese’s Cowboy Kiss By: Kimberly Krey

Reese's Cowboy Kiss: Sweet Montana Bride Series Book 1

(Learn more about Kimberly Krey at - http://kimberlykrey.wix.com/kimberlykrey )
ABOUT THE BOOK:
Texan pageant winner, Reese Taylor, has a former classmate
who wants her dead. Now she must leave her friends and family
to enter a protection program on Emerson Ranch. A group of
good-looking cowboys awaits her, but Reese has her eye on
Blake Emerson, the one man too busy with the ranch to
give her a chance.

Blake Emerson has no time to go lookin’ for love. He’s got
a ranch to run, positions to fill, and an ache in his heart
from love gone wrong. So when he agrees to harbor a witness
to help on the ranch, Blake assumes his first two problems are
solved. But he never dreamed his new guest would be a
woman. One he was destined to lose his heart to.

With sparks burning hot and danger around the bend, one
question lingers in his mind: Has he only added to his list
of troubles, or has Blake just found the woman of his dreams?

* Though this novel is considered clean romance, it does contain passionate kissing and a few minor curse words. *
MY THOUGHTS: Loved this series! Love the idea of a nice family taking care of people in witness protection. So different from what you see on TV. When the books  first came out they were released backwards so I actually read this one last. It was a little more difficult that way because I had already heard bits and piece of Reese’s story. However, I was also very excited to fill in the details I didn’t know. I loved Blake and Reese’s story. It is so sweet and I enjoy the way that Kimberly writes romance. It is kind of intense yet tasteful and clean. If you love romance novels this is definitely a series to read!
