Light the Dark by: Christy Barritt

ABOUT THE BOOK:
Nine months pregnant, Hope Solomon is on the run and fearing for her life. Desperate for warmth, food, and shelter, she finds what looks like an abandoned house. Inside, she discovers a Christmas that’s been left behind—complete with faded decorations on a brittle Christmas tree and dusty stockings filled with loss.

Someone spies smoke coming from the chimney of the empty house and alerts Dr. Luke Griffin, the owner. He rarely visits the home that harbors so many bittersweet memories for him. But no one is going to violate the space so near and dear to his heart.

Then Luke meets Hope, and he knows this mother-to-be desperately needs help. With no room at any local inn, Luke invites Hope to stay, unaware of the danger following her. While running from the darkness, the embers of Christmas present are stirred with an unexpected birth and a holiday romance. But will Hope and Luke live to see a Christmas future?

Fiction/Christian/Suspense

MY THOUGHTS:
This was such a fun afternoon read! I was really worried that the story wouldn't feel complete being so short but the Author did an awesome job with all the details in such a short book. Hope and Luke had both had terrible heartache but were able to find happiness again with each other. I love the Christmas references and the Christmas message of this novella. Great job!

Pianos and Promises 3 Story Collection by: Jennifer Peel

ABOUT THE BOOK:
From Best Selling and Award Winning Author, Jennifer Peel, comes a three-story collection of contemporary romances. Set in Nashville, the City of Music, Pianos and Promises follows the interwoven lives of three different couples.

Christopher and Jaime

Doesn't everyone say you should marry your best friend?

Jaime has two goals in life: marry her best friend, and buy her very own grand piano. Christopher never gets the memo and marries someone else. But when Christopher's wife dies, Jaime finds herself raising his young daughter and on the end of a very unlikely proposal.

Can their friendship endure a marriage of convenience?

Beck and Call

What happens when a dashing Englishman and an almost-famous country star collide? Sparks. And lots of them.

Call's life always seems to be on the cusp of working out, only to unravel at the last moment. For instance, when she finally meets the guy--the man she's been fantasizing about from afar--their first meeting is nothing like she hoped; in fact, she wishes she never met him.

But can the charming Englishman change her mind?

Cole and Jillian

Can a few hours really change your life?

Jillian knows a thing or two about the country music scene, and she wants no part of it after her country singer ex-husband. But as fate would have it, she's seated next to country legend Cole Pendleton on a red-eye flight home to Nashville from Las Vegas. Between her emotional state, her fear of flying, and maybe a little vodka, she finds herself taking comfort in Cole's arms and lips during their four-hour flight.

Cole is determined to prove to her that he's a man of his word, but can Jillian trust his midnight promises?

MY THOUGHTS:
Christopher and Jaime
The timing of my picking this novella to read couldn't have been more perfect. I needed a good happily ever after kind of story to make my day and that is exactly what this is! I loved Chris and Jamie's story so much. Every relationship has a lot of ups and downs and none are perfect. I love reading about the imperfect ones because it makes things more like reality. I loved this story and I am becoming a huge fan of Jennifer Peel.

Beck and Call
I'm so happy that I decided to wait until the box set for these novellas cane out to read them all because I would have gone crazy waiting for the next one to come out. This one was just as amazing as the first. Call is a spitfire like me and puts Beck in his place I love it! Just a great read I honestly didn't want to put it down.

Cole and Jillian
I loved this one too. What a great ending to this set of books! Jillian was married to a country singer and didn't like the life that brings. When she meets another country singer she wants to run. Only problem was Cole runs towards her now away. I thought their story was so cute and I especially liked the Epilogue of this one!

Still so happy that I saved this set to read them all at once! They were amazing and the last one was my break from reality today. I'm officially a big fan of this Author and can't wait to read the other books I have by her!

Cozumel Escape by: Cami Checketts

ABOUT THE BOOK:
Enjoy this thrilling billionaire romance from Author Cami Checketts.

Brooks Hoffman, billionaire, loves women, expensive toys and fighting—in that order. A week romancing a beautiful woman on his private island near Cozumel is a great way to pass the time. When Sydnee Lee Swenson isn’t impressed with his money, or charmed by his…well, charm, Brooks takes it as a personal challenge to change her mind.

Sydnee Lee moved to a small island to volunteer at the local orphanage. She’s fallen in love with the children and doesn’t need a good-looking, over-confident guy complicating things. Sending Brooks on his way, with just the right amount of sass, was the only option. But when Brooks puts his own life on the line for her and some of the orphaned children, she may have to take another look at the guy behind the muscles and money.

This book also contains a sneak peek at The Angler, the Baker, and the Billionaire by Author Amberlee Day and The Reclusive Billionaire by Lucy McConnell.

MY THOUGHTS:
I love this series of books by different Authors! Adding some of my favorite Authors makes it even better! Cami is one of my favorites! I love that Brooks from Caribbean Rescue got his own story. He is a very wealthy playboy that needed to settle down. Sydnee, who is a little spitfire gives him a run for his money and is constantly putting him in his place, I love it cause that's how I am hahaha. Cami always pulls you into her books and you find yourself falling in love with the characters this one is no different! Awesome read for sure!

Note: I was gifted a copy of this book and all opinions are my own.

Kayaks and Kisses by Maria Hoagland

ABOUT THIS BOOK;
Brynn Caley is about to start her dream career running an outdoor sporting goods store when an out-of-town business guru makes his own offer on the property. Coerced into forming a temporary partnership, Brynn, with her ski experience, finds she has to work with fishing expert Gage to run the year-round shop. Through a series of innocent misconceptions and a few blatant lies, Brynn doesn’t realize that the handsome single guy on the construction crew is her new partner, and he doesn’t want to set her straight until he can gain her favor. She, on the other hand, would do anything not to work with the stuffy businessman she’s only met through email. Inspired by the movies You’ve Got Mail and The Shop around the Corner, Kayaks & Kisses is a heart-warming tale of finding love in autumn leaves, outdoor activities, and new friendships.

MY THOUGHTS:
*Sigh* I loved this book! I am running off of very little sleep today and I figured this novella was a great way to pass the day faster. I loved this take on You've got mail. Such a classic movie. Trying to match the same story line would be hard but the Author totally nails it!  I loved how developed all the characters where it was easy to fall in love with them and feel like you were engrossed in the story right along with them! I have read other books by this Author and I have to say they keep getting better and better! Trust me she. I say you should give this one a shot!

I was gifted a copy of this book but all opinions are my own!

Fiction/christian/mystery

MY THOUGHTS:
I love this series so much! It's still the only thing my teenaged son with read. Even after 12 books I don't want it to end but I felt like the Author is starting to kind of wrap things up in this book. There were so many surprises for me in this one. I really enjoyed that it wasn't predictable. It is great to see so many good things happening to Gabby and Riley you really fall in love with them both over the series of books. Can't wait for more in this series or from this Author.

Note: I was gifted a copy of this book but all opinions are my own.

MY THOUGHTS:
I loved this book! Some of my favorite stories to read are the not so fairy tale type. I love when an author writes about real life issues like death, abuse and anxiety. This book was a nice change for Julie I know she doesn't write this type very often and I am glad she went with her gut and her story and wrote it!  I loved the whole relationship between Tori and Drew and the instant connection they had. I loved that there was an epilogue too not very often do you get a peek into the future of the characters I like it when Authors include them! All in all it was an awesome book. Great job Julie!

Maren's stuck at the intersection of heartache and love, but happily ever after might be just around the corner.

After three years, Maren Summers is elated to finally have her dream wedding to her dream man, Kevin Bryant. In her sights is the promotion to weddings she’s worked so hard for at the newspaper. Happily ever after is within her grasp…

But as the New Year approaches, is Maren headed for heartache again when Zane's lost love returns or has time changed more than one heart?

MY THOUGHTS:
*Sigh* I loved this book so much! I'm actually sad it's over. Zane and Maren both needed a friend after such unthinkable things happened to them in their lives and relationships. It was so much fun to see how their friendship played out and grew. I wasn't sure that either would get a happily ever after but I loved really the ending! This is what sappy love story books should be made of! It was so good I didn't wanted to put it down until I was done. Amazing, amazing job Lisa! Can not wait for more from you!

From the moment Able sees Meridee, he’s entranced. When she asks him about his past and discovers his remarkable yet troublesome gift, he realizes he’s finally found someone who can care for all of him. MY THOUGHTS:
Saints and Sinners by: Josi Kilpack
I have been a big fan of Josi Kilpack for a few years now! Ever since I picked up Lemon Tart, I was hooked! I'm not usually a huge fan of regency romance but this novella really pulled me in and I sat and read the whole thing. Eloise and Neville are childhood friends that as they got older their relationship turns into something more. Neville just doesn't seem to realize it yet. Eloise wants to be noticed by him even if that means spending time with his best friend....I loved all the references to Christmas time in England. My Mom is British so I grew up with some of those traditions and heard many stories of the others! Great job Josi!

The Christmas Angle by Carla Kelly
I had a rough time getting into this book. I'm not a huge fan of historical romance but I read them on occasion. I almost gave up around chapter 3 or so but decided to push a little more. In the end I enjoyed it. It was very different from what I usually read but I liked it and I liked Able and Meridees story. I also love that she called Meridee his keeper. Don't we all feel like our husbands keeper sometimes haha ;)

The Perfect Christmas by Jennifer Moore
This novella was my favorite of the set! I am a firm believer of simple Christmases and have always tried to keep them that way. I have dreamed of having Christmas in cabin in the snow somewhere. This story proves that not everything needs to go as planned to be perfect in its own way and even the most simple of Christmases can turn out to be the best ones! Perfect story to start out an upcoming holiday season!

All in all this was another awesome set of books to read for the Christmas season!

Note: I was given an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

The Adventurous One by: Jeanette Lewis

RELEASE DAY FOR THIS ONE!!!

ABOUT THE BOOK:
Taylor Medlin may have taken the billionaire bride pact when she was a teenager at Camp Wallakee, but she wasn’t thinking about that when she married the man of her dreams several years later. And she certainly wasn’t thinking about the pact when she signed the divorce papers after only eighteen months.

Once burned, twice shy, Taylor has sworn off romance until a family emergency pulls her home to Sioux Falls and into the arms of old friend, Lane Carter. But Lane has his own demons and he and Taylor must decide whether the past will bring them together, or tear them apart.

Includes a bonus chapter from The Protective One by Cami Checketts

MY THOUGHTS:
I can never say it enough, I LOVE THIS SERIES! Taylor is an outdoorsy girl that seeks adventure in her life. Lane used to be that way until an accident cost him his legs. When they meet again after several years of not seeing each other they pick up where they left off with a great friendship. Taylor sees Lane for who he is and not for his disability and she wants to see him happy again. I loved this book. They both had some self discovery moments and they have some great times together. This was such a fun one to read! Great job Jeanette!

Taylor Lynne by: Jennifer Peel

ABOUT THE BOOK:
Determined not to repeat the same mistakes as her mother, Taylor Cole left her husband with their toddler in tow fourteen years ago and vowed never to return to Merryton. A place where she lost not only the love of her life, but her childhood hopes and dreams.

When they move back, Taylor can’t seem to remain apathetic toward her ex-husband or his nine-year-old daughter. She discovers that maybe all wasn’t as it seemed so many years ago. And maybe—just maybe—she and her ex-husband need each other more now than they ever have before. But can the exes put the past behind them and find a way to forgive each other? Or will they let past mistakes and misunderstandings keep them from future happiness?

Return to Merryton and join Taylor and Easton on their journey, and catch up with old friends you grew to love in Jessie Belle.

MY THOUGHTS:
I love second chance romance stories. Life is hard. Love and marriage are hard. They all take a lot of work and sometimes it takes more than one round to figure it out. (I'm my husbands second round lol). I loved Taylor and Easton's story. They married young and quick and when you lose sight of each other and stop communicating it's almost impossible to stay together. I loved that for their daughter were willing to try living near each other and mix their lives to make her happy. And I really enjoyed their banter and Easton's determination to fix things. This was an awesome book I really loved it a lot and can't wait to read the next one!

The Resilient Bride by: Lucy McConnell

In order to find her happy ending in a world where sorrows outweigh the joys, Kiera must learn how to live in the moment, cherish every good gift, and love like she was dying.

MY THOUGHTS:
Wow! This is a book full of emotions. I loved it so much! You can really tell that the Author poured her whole heart into this book. It really is amazing! Be prepared to be pulled in to the book, the characters and their story. It was such a mix of happy, sad, love and  even desire on so many levels. I found myself feeling connected to Kiera and Liam and wanted to see their happily ever after. This book will pull on your heartstrings but it's totally worth it. Another awesome addition the the BMB series. I love them all!

Random acts of Greed by: Christy Barritt

ABOUT THE BOOK:
Help me. Don’t trust anyone.

Do-gooder Holly Anna Paladin can’t believe her eyes when a healthy baby boy is left on her doorstep. What seems like good fortune quickly turns into concern when blood spatter is found on the bottom of the baby carrier. Something tragic—maybe deadly—happened in connection with the infant. The note left only adds to the confusion. What does it mean by “Don’t trust anyone”?

Holly is determined to figure out the identity of the baby. Is his mom someone from the inner-city youth center where she volunteers? Or maybe the connection is through Holly’s former job as a social worker? Even worse—what if the blood belongs to the baby’s mom?

Every answer Holly uncovers only leads to more questions. A sticky web of intrigue captures her imagination until she’s sure of only one thing: she must protect the baby at all cost.

MY THOUGHTS:
I loved this book and I love the Holly Anna series. This one was full of twists which I like because if it was super predictable it wouldn't be fun to read. Holly makes some tough decisions in this book. It is time for her to take some bigger steps in life. I am excited to see how she handles the changes in the next one! Great job Christy as always!

Disillusioned by: Christy Barritt

PRE ORDER NOW OUT AUGUST 9th

ABOUT THE BOOK:
Nikki Wright is desperate to help her brother, Bobby, who hasn’t been the same since escaping from a detainment camp run by terrorists in Colombia. Rumor has it that he betrayed his navy brothers and conspired with those who held him hostage, and both the press and the military are hounding him for answers. All Nikki wants is to shield her brother so he has time to recover and heal.
But soon they realize the paparazzi are the least of their worries. When a group of men try to abduct Nikki and her brother, Bobby insists that Kade Wheaton, another former SEAL, can keep them out of harm’s way. But can Nikki trust Kade? After all, the man who broke her heart eight years ago is anything but safe…
Hiding out in a farmhouse on the Chesapeake Bay, Nikki finds her loyalties—and the remnants of her long-held faith—tested as she and Kade put aside their differences to keep Bobby’s increasingly erratic behavior under wraps. But when Bobby disappears, Nikki will have to trust Kade completely if she wants to uncover the truth about a rumored conspiracy. Nikki’s life—and the fate of the nation—depends on it.

MY THOUGHTS:
This was a great book. It was action packed and full of suspense. I kept thinking I had the ending figured out but then something else would happen and I'd second guess myself. Just what a book should do! I hate when they are predicable and everything goes perfectly lol. This books pulls you in and you feel like you are connected to the characters. You find yourself pulling for them and hoping for a happy ending. I found that this line from the book really fits how things played out in the story, it says, "“'For such a time as this.’ I thought there was no better life verse that I could choose. I was put in the perfect place at the perfect time to carry out His perfect will. I was a fool.” We can't always plan out our lives. There will always be things that happen that are beyond our control. It is the way we choose to face each day that makes a difference and that is what this book teaches you. Having God in your life gives you purpose and makes things easier to get through with his help. As always Christy, great job! Awesome book!

Her carefully laid plans are thrown off track when the beautiful Bay Barington sweeps into town and casts a spell over Kirke. The Last of the Gentlemen by Cami Checketts
Despite the hardships she's faced, Emma Turner is determined to make a good life for her three children. But when her son's good-looking lacrosse coach takes an interest in her children, Emma has to fight off the smolder in her stomach and banish her daydreams. This schoolgirl crush needs to end before she embarrasses her son and herself. If only she could tell that to her heart

MY THOUGHTS:
The Kiss Thief by Rachelle J. Christensen
This was such a cute story! I was about two insecure people trying to overcome their own short comings to be able to learn love each other. When love comes before they expected they both become skiddish and run from each other. We all do that in life don't we? This was a great reminder of many life lessons. Great job Rachelle!

The Lion, The Witch, and the Library by Lucy McConnell
I loved this one! Jennifer and Kirke were made for each other. Best friends long before a serious relationship bloomed which is how it should be! The best relationships come from being best friends in my opinion. This was an awesome addition to the set!

The Last of the Gentlemen by: Cami Checketts
I loved this one so much! Being a single Mom is hard. Trying to keep all your kids happy as well as your self, while still doing everything, is exhausting. I know from experience because my hubs is gone A LOT and I play this role nearly everyday. Emma needed a guy like Chayton in her life to help keep things balanced and to love her AND all her baggage. All the lacrosse stuff was great too. I know that is a big part of the Authors life which makes the story that much better. I love a great happily ever after! Another great one Cami!

Much Ado About A Kiss by: Heather Tullis
Fay reminds me so much of me. I am not a forgiving person at all. Once you are on my bad side it's near impossible to change my mind about you. I needed to hear this story this week. I think it was meant just for me... I loved Fay and Austin's story it was awesome. They come from a long history with a lot of misunderstanding. It was so fun to watch them try to build a new and better relationship. This story brought on a lot of thinking material for me...Great job Heather!

Pride and Persuasion by Connie E. Sokol
I thought this was such a cute story. Armand and Lindy found each other when they both needed someone the most. I love how their personalities complimented each other and they made such a great team. That is so important in any relationship. This was a great conclusion to another awesome set of books! Great job!

NOTE: I was given and ARC copy of this book by the Authors in exchange for an honest review

MY THOUGHTS:
Oh how I loved this book! It was so amazing! I couldn't put it down. It was suspenseful,  yet romantic and there were so many funny parts as well. There were pirates and guns but also kissing and joking around so much all in one wonderful package! The characters were the best and I fell in love with them all. Maddie and Zack were so much fun together! This book is a whole lot of AWESOME trust me! It had me hooked from the start and I binge read it all day! Amazing job Cami this goes on my list of favorites for sure!

The Soldiers Bride by: Rachelle J. Christensen

ABOUT THE BOOK:
As WWII ration cards and battle scars become commonplace across America, it seems to Evelyn that even love is rationed out. When she finds a message from her late husband tucked inside a music box, Jim’s words have the power to change her life: Don't die with me.
Words written out of love, long-lost but never forgotten.
Grief stricken, Evelyn is unsure of how to honor his request, but she finds the courage to keep on living. Jim’s note urges her to give the music box away to unlock the secret within, and although it breaks her heart again, Evelyn trades the music box for a cradle to hold her infant son. Thus begins the decades-long journey of the music box, mending broken hearts, reuniting lost loves, and giving people the courage to heal themselves along the way. This romance crosses battlefields and time as the music box touches the lives of two soldiers, a broken father, a crippled child, a struggling farmer, and a woman once called the soldier's bride.

MY THOUGHTS:
*Sigh* This book was sooooo good I'm kind of sad I'm finished with it. I loved it so much and it isn't very often that you end a book with a giant sigh. The story of the magical music box was so awesome. It all started with a young newly wed couple and then moved on to touch various other people's lives. I loved all the stories. Obviously Evelyn's was the best and the main focus I was so happy with the final ending of her story but I won't ruin it here.. You'll have to read it to find out. I kind of wish there would have been an epilogue to all the stories but I understand that it was really mostly about Evelyn. Rachelle did an amazing job writing this story! I highly recommend it. I'm still on a book high from reading and don't know what else to say but trust me it's amazing!

MY THOUGHTS:
I love Lucy McConnel's books and was excited to read this one! However, I read a few bad reviews so it got placed on the back burner for a bit when normally I would have dropped everything and binge read. In the end, I really enjoyed it. It was defiantly not my favorite of hers but I still enjoyed it and I thought it was a great story. I read it carefully looking for bad and didn't find any! It wasn't binge worthy but All in all it was a cute story and I enjoyed it!

This booked had me hooked by the end of the first chapter. I loved Dani and Kade they were so cute together. Their story was awesome! This book had so many surprises and it was so fast paced that I couldn't put it down. I ending up binge reading it until ridiculously late because I had to finish it and read the ending. Loved every minute of it! Dani had such a hard life it was awesome to see her get her happy ending and Kade was made for her. This book was awesome great job Heather!

Feels Like Love: A Snow Valley Romance (Christmas in Snow Valley series Book 2) by: Jeanette Lewis

ABOUT THE BOOK:
Christmas in Snow Valley is the perfect way for April Winston to introduce her city slicker fiance, Scott Mecham, to life on a farm. If only Wade Hadley, hometown boy and high school sweetheart, will cooperate! But Wade has no intention of letting April go without a fight. This Christmas, he is determined to overcome their painful past and show April that she already has what she’s been seeking all along.

MY THOUGHTS:
April is a farm girl at heart and even though she moved away from farm life for a while she will always be a farm girl. So when she brings her city slicker fiancé home for Christmas they were both bound to get some surprises they didn’t count on. Everyone has a past love from their hometown. Most people don’t plan to rekindle what where there before so when April finds herself stuck between loving 2 different men there is bound to be drama! I loved reading along as she tried to figure out which path her heart would take.

Tin Foil Tiaras: A Snow Valley Romance by: Jeanette Lewis

ABOUT THE BOOK:
Cameron Elliott has come to Snow Valley to coach Annalisa Drake in the Miss Snow Valley pageant, and prove to her demanding boss that she deserves a place at the prestigious Westbrooke Agency. But Annalisa’s handsome and protective big brother, Kyle, is determined to keep his sister from becoming a reluctant beauty queen. He insists some things are more valuable than a title and as crazy as it sounds, Cameron might just believe him.

MY THOUGHTS:
I can't relate much to the beauty pageant scene because I never did it myself. I know that it is a lot of pressure on girls. I see the same thing with my daughters’ friends that dance. Glad both she and I never did either. I also liked that the Author addressed cutting. It isn't something very widely talked about and I wish it could get out more because I had a niece that had some issues with it. I think if people knew more about it maybe it could be helped or even stopped. All in all I loved this addition to snow valley!

Love Coming Late: A Snow Valley Romance by: Jeanette Lewis

ABOUT THE BOOK:
Cynthia Eddington never thought she'd return to Snow Valley after a string of bad luck forced the sale of her beloved farm there. But here she is, about to start a new life with her children, Jackson and Anoria. Cynthia plans to focus on her career and her family; she's not looking for romance and she's definitely not looking for sexy cowboy, Colby Schroder.

MY THOUGHTS:
What a sweet story. I loved how this one was a little out of the norm. This is my take on it....This story shows that sometimes your heart wants what it wants. Even if people, the world, your family who ever see things differently only you can decide what is best for you. Sometimes you may take some bumps to get there but in the end only happiness matters. Awesome job Jeanette loved it!

She ropes her friend into taking a road trip to visit Justin, hoping for a second chance. When Justin sees her, he wants answers, and Sarah has to decide if she’s brave enough to finally tell him the truth.

MY THOUGHTS:
What Falling Feels Like by Jolene Betty Perry
This was such a cute story. Tyler and Kendell were childhood friends that lost touch with each other. It doesn't take them long to realize that even after years apart they still have a bond. There is nothing better than having a partner in life that knows you inside and out. That is what this story was all about! Loved it!

Antiques Road Trip by: Sarah M Eden
This story was awesome! I get so tired hearing about all the reality shows these days and the smut and garbage that follow in their wake. How awesome would be it to have one based in the 1800's? Where everyone has to have manners and act properly? This was a great read with a great happily ever after ending! I love it! Great job Sarah!

Wouldn't it Be Nice by: Reneè S. Clark

I've never taken a road trip with friends but my Brother did once...My guess is that it would be nice to have friends you like enough to want to travel with haha. Loved this story though. Sometimes what we think is the best plan for our lives is really just a side road to the main road that will become our life. Childhood friends that fall in love doesn't happen very often but I'm a sucker for a good ending!

Head Over Heels by: Annette Lyon
I loved this one! I'm sure not many people go to comic con hoping to meet someone they would want to date but I could see it happening. That isn't exactly what happened here but an interesting setting for sure! My teen has been trying to get me just to go to one with him so he can check it out and I refuse lol. Anyway, this was such a cute story of two people thrown together that for a quick bond. They start out trying to play a joke on a mutual friend and end up falling for each other. I love that they both had the same taste in music and sang a bunch together and that they ended in Vegas. It holds a special place in my heart cause I got married there. All in all awesome story great job Annette!

Two Dozen Roses by Heather B. Moore
My husband and I recently went to California on vacation. I really wanted to go up the pacific coast highway and do all the little stops because it sounds fun and I love the ocean but we couldn't fit it into our schedule. We traveled across the US once and happened to have a retired couple 'following' us they stopped at all the same stops through one of the states. It was kind of fun to talk to them at each stop. We pulled way ahead of them in the end and never saw them again. I loved this story it was so fun! Good job Heather!

Try, Try Again by Aubrey Mace
This was such a sweet story about second chances. Sometimes our hearts and our head aren't always in sync and then we have to play catch up. I love Sarah and Justin's story it was a good ending to an amazing set of stories!

Hawaiian Masquerade (Destination Billionaire Romance) by:by Rachelle J. Christensen

ABOUT THE BOOK:
Lexi closed her eyes. The waves rolled in slowly, rhythmically, with a dependability that would never be doubted. Shawn had been her rock and they’d worked together with a rhythm that had kept their jobs and life in sync. Before Derek, she might’ve entertained a future with Shawn … but the dark-haired man with a camera bag slung over his shoulder had changed everything.

When Lexi Burke escaped the remnants of a cold winter in Chicago for the beaches of Kauai, it wasn’t a random vacation. She left the hectic pace of Burke Enterprises behind with enough money to retire at age thirty-two, intent on settling into the idyllic existence of island life. Until she met local photographer Derek Mitchell—a talented man with a grudge against rich tourists.

From art night to snorkeling lessons, hiking, and chopping coconuts, Lexi can’t talk herself out of spending time with the handsome, hardworking man who knows the value of every dollar. She also can’t find a way to tell him the truth about herself. But then Derek is selected to help in a benefit at a masquerade ball as one of the eligible bachelors up for auction. Lexi must decide whether to wear a mask or unveil her true self and risk losing Derek’s trust and a chance at love.

MY THOUGHTS:
I LOVED this book! You know when you read and then finish a book that was so good you sigh because you loved it so much and your sad it's over? Well, that was me with this book! Rachelle did such a great job with this story. I promise you'll fall in love with the characters and the setting. Hawaii has never been at the top of my bucket list but after this book I think someday I'll have to give it a try. This is an awesome book about relationships, trust and happiness. Can't wait to read more from Rachelle!

Sweet Montana Brides Boxed Set: Complete Series: Three Full Length Romance Novels by: Kimberly Krey

ABOUT THESE BOOKS:
Sweet Montana Bride Series, featuring
witness protection ~ rancher style includes Reese's Cowboy Kiss, Jade's Cowboy Crush, and Cassie's Cowboy Crave.

“This series is one of the best I've ever read. …Passion and romance without explicit sensuality." Rocky Palmer RVP the Man Editing

“The novels in this series remind me of RaeAnne Thayne’s books with a splash of danger and suspense.” Jamie Brook Thompson

“Kimberly's books remind me a lot the books written by one of my favorite authors Marcia Lynn McClure. There is a lot of passionate kissing and a few mild swear words but otherwise they are clean.” Kathy Habel, TOP 100 REVIEWER on Amazon

Reese’s Cowboy Kiss:

Texan pageant winner, Reese Taylor, has a former classmate
who wants her dead. Now she must leave her friends and family
to enter a protection program on Emerson Ranch. A group of
good-looking cowboys awaits her, but Reese has her eye on

give her a chance.

Blake Emerson has no time to go lookin’ for love. He’s got
a ranch to run, positions to fill, and an ache in his heart
from love gone wrong. So when he agrees to harbor a witness
to help on the ranch, Blake assumes his first two problems are
solved. But he never dreamed his new guest would be a
woman. One he was destined to lose his heart to.

With sparks burning hot and danger around the bend, one
question lingers in his mind: Has he only added to his list
of troubles, or has Blake just found the woman of his dreams?

Jade’s Cowboy Crush:

Single mother, Jade Miller, has just witnessed a murder. Now, set to testify against the cold-blooded killer, Jade must be placed under protection. While she is grateful to the kind folks who’ve offered to take in her and her son, Jade is surprised to find the man escorting them from L.A. to Montana is Gavin Emerson. A womanizing, far-too-attractive-for-his-own-good, rebel cowboy. Jade assures Gavin that she has sworn off men until her son is grown, but all too soon she finds herself fighting back feelings for the man who’s agreed to care for them.

Gavin wants nothing to do with ranch life. Not since the ugly fallout he had with his father over eight years ago. But when he agrees to come back, harboring Jade and her son for a time, Gavin falls in love with life on the land once again. Above that, he finds his heart has been captured by his lovely house guest, Jade Miller.

After reservations on both parts, the two are finally ready to open up and give their new-found love a try. Only they aren’t in the clear just yet, and as a dark and deadly threat falls upon them, Gavin finds that his bad-boy past may have led the danger right to their door.

Cassie’s Cowboy Crave:

Twenty-four-year-old Cassie Lovell has a great job, good friends, and an apartment with a killer view. That is, until life is turned upside down. Without the chance to say goodbye, Cassie is forced into a witness protection program on Emerson Ranch. Just when she fears life is doomed, Cassie meets Shane Emerson, the stunningly handsome cowboy who’ll be posing as her newlywed groom.
Shane Emerson is determined not to fall for the woman he’s agreed to harbor. Especially since the whole thing was his family’s way of trying to get him hitched. So why is it when he takes Cassie into his home, Shane wants nothing more than to turn their make-believe marriage into more than just a sham?
In a moment of weakness, Shane steals a kiss.
In return, Cassie steals his heart.
Yet before they confess their undying love,
a hidden danger threatens to tear them apart.

MY THOUGHTS:

Reese’s Cowboy Kiss

MY THOUGHTS: Loved this series! Love the idea of a nice family taking care of people in witness protection. So different from what you see on TV. When the books  first came out they were released backwards so I actually read this one last. It was a little more difficult that way because I had already heard bits and piece of Reese’s story. However, I was also very excited to fill in the details I didn’t know. I loved Blake and Reese’s story. It is so sweet and I enjoy the way that Kimberly writes romance. It is kind of intense yet tasteful and clean. If you love romance novels this is definitely a series to read!

Jade’s Cowboy Crush

MY THOUGHTS: I think this was my favorite of the series! I liked Gavin’s rebellious attitude that didn’t want anything to do with the family business. Kind of reminds me of me. J Gavin and Jade’s story just made me think a lot of me and my husband. All the great time we had when we were dating and just kind of how we treated each other and all that! I didn’t have a kid like Jade but he did…. As I’ve said before, I enjoy the way that Kimberly writes romance. It is kind of intense yet tasteful and clean. If you love romance novels this is definitely a series to read!

Cassie’s Cowboy Crave

MY THOUGHTS: I was lucky enough to discover this book when it was in the breathtaking box set. I really appreciate the way that Kimberly can have such a nice romance to read but she does it in a clean way! The characters are all very likeable and I really enjoyed reading Cassie and Shane's story. I was excited to learn I will get to read the others stories as well.

It was good to finally see Shane get his chance at love after watching his brothers fall in love. It is crazy that they got married so that other people wouldn’t realize that she was in witness protection. I don’t think I could have done that. Then to try to act like a married couple when they are around people yet they hardly knew it other would have been equally difficult. However I loved their story and how they were able to get to know each other and fall in love! As I’ve said before, I enjoy the way that Kimberly writes romance. It is kind of intense yet tasteful and clean. It is definitely worth the read! It shows that romance novels can be enjoyable even in a clean way and I look forward to more of her books in the future!
