ABOUT THE BOOK:
Julian Bennet, head of Griffin Force, finally finds love with Zaya
Altes, but the day he buys her an engagement ring, international
terrorist Nazer al-Raimi abducts her. Getting her back consumes him, yet
it takes nearly six months to find her. The daring mission to extract
her from a hidden prison in Afghanistan is successful, but Zaya has
suffered during captivity. Though she’s grateful to Julian for breaking
her out, she wants nothing to do with him. Before he can show her how
much he still loves her, Nazer finds them and vows revenge. Can Julian
keep Zaya safe and still stop Nazer once and for all?
Zaya Altes
nearly gave up hope of ever being rescued, but when Griffin Force
finally finds her, returning to life is harder than she imagined. While
her feelings for Julian are as strong as ever, she feels too broken to
recapture what they once had. Instead, Zaya jumps at a chance to trap
Nazer, wanting vengeance for what she’s endured. As the final showdown
draws near, however, Zaya will have to make an unimaginable choice to
let Nazer close to her again. But when a shocking web of betrayal is
uncovered in their own ranks, their one chance to capture him is
compromised. Julian and Zaya will put everything on the line, but can
they survive this ultimate test and finally reach for their chance at
happiness?
MY THOUGHTS:
Page turning suspense! The quick
pace of this book will have you on the edge of your seat! I was excited
that there was closure on some of the events from the other books in
this series. I loved the relationship between Julian and Zaya. That even
through all the difficult times they have been through they both feel a
strong connection and bond neither can deny about the other. You can
feel the Authors passion for writing and can tell she really enjoys
writing this series. This series never fails to amaze me. Can't wait to
read more from this Author!

Love's Broken Road
ABOUT THE BOOK:
MY THOUGHTS:
After surviving an abusive
marriage, Victoria Newel needs a clean slate for herself and her son.
Taking a job as a math teacher, she moves across the country to the
small town of Lincoln, Utah, where no one knows her and she can start
over. However, her new colleague, Drew Dalton, offers her friendship and
maybe something more. But has her heart healed enough that she could
trust again?
Drew Dalton lost his wife to cancer years ago and he locked his heart away, throwing himself into his teaching job. But when Victoria Newel starts working at the high school, she awakens something in him that he never thought he’d feel again. Her gentle nature and quiet strength draws him to her, but it’s obvious she’s hiding something in her past from him. Can he open his heart to a woman who harbors so many secrets of her own?

MY THOUGHTS:
I
loved this book! Some of my favorite stories to read are the not so
fairy tale type. I love when an author writes about real life issues
like death, abuse and anxiety. This book was a nice change for Julie I
know she doesn't write this type very often and I am glad she went with
her gut and her story and wrote it! I loved the whole relationship
between Tori and Drew and the instant connection they had. I loved that there was an epilogue too not very often do you get a peek into the future of the characters I like it when Authors include them! All in all it was an awesome book. Great job Julie!
Note: I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

The Captain (Griffin Force #2) by: Julie Coulter Bellon
ABOUT THIS BOOK:
Captain Colt Mitchell is part of the elite Griffin Force team hunting down terrorist Nazer al-Raimi. After an attack on the Canadian Parliament buildings, the team gets good intel on Nazer’s whereabouts. They plan to grab him, but when the mission goes wrong, Colt is captured and dragged away. Bruised, restrained, and disoriented, Colt is stunned to see Brenna Wilson, the Canadian intelligence officer who broke his heart years ago, standing next to Nazer. But how deep is she in the operation and can she help Colt escape?
After the devastating attack on Canadian soil, Brenna is recruited to go undercover to find out what Nazer is planning next. She’s close to her goal until her former flame Colt Mitchell is taken hostage. Walking away from him has always been her biggest regret and she knows she has to save him, even if it blows her mission. Taking matters into her own hands, she pulls off a daring escape, but Colt and Brenna must learn to trust each other again if they want to stay alive. With their hearts and their lives on the line can they survive long enough to stop Nazer from ravaging another country’s sense of security?
MY THOUGHTS:
This book was another great addition to this series. Like all of Julie's other books it is full of action and suspense with a tiny mix of romance. I have been a huge fan of these books and although I enjoyed reading it, I feel like they are getting repetitive and I am ready to see something new. I want to get that feeling of WOW that I felt after reading her first book. The characters are great and the story line flows really well and if you are a fan of the others I'm am sure you will enjoy this one too. It is fun to see them all get their own stories I just feel that all the books are all very much alike. Maybe I just wasn't in the mood for this kind of book this week...Like I said overall it was good I just wanted a wow factor and didn't get one, great job though Julie!

The Captive by; Julie Coulter Bellon
ABOUT THE BOOK:
Former Navy SEAL Jake Williams is the newly appointed head of a task force assigned to rescue a kidnapped American diplomat. Their only hope is Mya Amari, the daughter of a notorious Algerian hostage negotiator, but she is full of secrets and complications–something Jake takes as a personal challenge. As they grow closer, the threat to the mission escalates and time runs out for the hostages. Can Jake unravel the web of deception to save them all without getting caught in the crossfire?
Mya Amari has been in hiding nearly her entire life to escape her father’s enemies. But when her sister is kidnapped along with an American diplomat, she’ll do anything to bring her home–including walking into the enemy’s lair. She doesn’t trust anyone, especially the too-handsome-for-his-own-good Commander Williams, but when all her careful plans explode out of control, he’s the only one she can turn to with the truth about her family. Is it too little, too late?
MY THOUGHTS:
This book stays true to Julie Bellon form! It is full of action, suspense, terrorists and even some romance. Julie has a way of taking the good out of a bad situation and making it enjoyable to read about! I can't wait until my 10 year old gets a little older because I think Julie will be come his favorite Author. He loves military and guns and missions and wants to be a SEAL someday. As with all her other books, this is an edge of your seat page turner. If you haven't tried on of Julie's books yet you should. I can't wait to read more from the Griffen Force! Great job Julie!

Their first date, back in high school, had been an unmitigated disaster culminating with Pepto Bismol and the police. Still, Juliet would have gone out with Tag again the next day—and the next—had he asked. So now that he’s finally popping up in her in-box again, Juliet must decide whether to say yes to the date, even if it puts her at risk of another decade of carrying a torch for Tag McClintock. Will their second date be their last?

MY THOUGHTS;
Forgotten Kisses by Cindy Roland Anderson
Loved this story. What a great opening to
the book. Finding trust in a relationship can be so hard. I love the
advice given in this story. Brutal honesty all the time. Yes it will be
difficult be definitely worth it! I'm all for second chances too.
Sometimes there is just too much there to let things good so easily.
The Last Christmas by: Annette Lyon
Every
marriage goes through rough patches. Communication it key! What one of
you may see as an issue, the other may not see it that way. I'm glad to
see that they also gave things a second chance. I know I wouldn't be
where I am today without one! Another great story!
Truth or Dare by: Julie Coulter Bellon
I had gotten a sneak peak of this book
and couldn't wait to read it! It was so good! I would love to see more
to this story about Cami and Jonah someday! I don't have many people I
talk to from back in my High School days...but that was a long time ago
for me...It would be nice to have more life long friends! I loved that
their friendship picked right up where it left off. Loved it Julie!
Holiday Bucket List by Sarah M. Eden
This novella was so cute! I love the idea
of a Holiday bucket list I think I am going to talk my hubs into doing
one with me this year! It was great to see 2 people who were such great
friends come together. Our spouses are always our best friends anyway!
Great addition to the set of stories!
Christmas Every Day by: Heather B. Moore
Monica is the sweetest girl who drops
everything for others. She even loves working in A year round Christmas
store. I love that when she does so much for others it finally comes
full circle is able to find her Rescuer during hard times. This was such
a fun Christmas novella I loved it! Great job Heather!
First (and Last) Christmas Date by: Jennifer Griffith.
This was a great ending to an awesome set
of novellas! Loved this one too. My favorite part was, "Life isn’t
about doing things perfectly. It’s about experiencing stuff. Together.
The good times are fine. They’re great. But the bad times all go into
the mixer of experience and memory, and it polishes them up, like a rock
tumbler. They become beautiful.” This is exactly how my marriage and my
life go. It was a great lesson for the story!
If you are looking for a good read definitely get this one I finished it in a day!
Note: I was asked by the Authors to read
this book and give it an honest review but I loved it so much I also
bought it on my own!

Ring Around the Rosie (Hostage Negotiation Team #4) by: Julie Coulter Bellon
ABOUT THE BOOK:
Revenge is a dish best served cold . . .
As the ex-wife of a law enforcement officer, Sarah Reed has known loneliness and loss. In order to cope, she makes a life for herself that’s full of routine while building a wall of ice around her heart. Everything about her is as predictable as she can make it until a tiny detour for her ex-husband, Ron, changes her life forever. Caught in a bomb crisis, Sarah is taken hostage by a man who wants Ron and everyone around him to suffer---and his idea of suffering is more terrible than Sarah had ever dreamed.
Captain Ron Reed has seen the worst of humanity in his job with the Hostage Negotiation Team, but he never expected his past to come back with a vengeance---literally. Aaron Starks, a criminal explosives expert, has stolen next-gen bomb technology and uses it to force Ron to bargain for the lives of his team and his ex-wife, Sarah, the woman he still loves. But the situation escalates when Ron discovers that Starks has an even bigger objective in mind---using the bomb to show how vulnerable America and her people truly are.
Ron is willing to risk everything to save his country and those he loves, but when negotiations break down, will his sacrifice be too little too late?

MY THOUGHTS:
This book was everything I expected #4 to be. It was full of action and suspense from the start. Julie was able to keep me on the edge of my seat the whole time. I love how she is able to pull a female and male audience with her books. Because men love the action and the hostage negotiation part of it. Whereas, a woman can still enjoy them just as much because she throws in hints of romance throughout. I loved Sarah and Ron's story and how they were able to remember what they once had and work together as a team! Another great book Julie! Can't wait to read more!

ALL FALL DOWN by Julie Coulter Bellon
ABOUT THE BOOK:
Ring around the rosy, a pocket full of posies, ashes, ashes we all fall down . . .
That simple rhyme turns negotiator Claire Michaels’ current hostage situation into an international incident. Claire just wants to help get everyone out safely, but as the crisis escalates she realizes she’s dealing with an al-Qaeda operative who has the means to become another bin Laden---with the potential to attack America. Claire has her own personal reasons for wanting to stop al-Qaeda, but time is slipping away as negotiations break down. Can she overcome her scars of the past in order to get the hostage out alive and possibly stop an assault on U.S. national security?
Navy SEAL Rafe Kelly is on leave to recover from a knee injury he suffered during his tour in Afghanistan and he doesn’t expect to be fighting terrorists on his home turf. But when he is taken hostage and his brother is kidnapped, Rafe teams up with a hostage negotiator in order to stay alive and get his brother back. The terrorist is always one step ahead of them, however, and the situation quickly turns from desperate to deadly. Will Rafe be able to save himself and his country without anyone he loves getting caught in the crossfire?
MY THOUGHTS:
WOW!
That is my first reaction after reading this book. It grabs you from
the first page. You will never think of the song Ring Around the Rosie
the same again! This book was full of action and excitement. I could not
put it down. I’m not sure if there really are Female hostage
negotiators out there but Claire definitely fits the part! I really do
believe that a bond and friendship like the one Claire and Rafe had
would be formed in a situation like this. I loved this book! I just
bought the next 2 in the series I can’t wait to read them!

great as the others? Edge of your seat suspense! If you haven’t read one yet
this would be a great one to start with. I love that this one included a woman
as an Agent you don’t see that very often and typically you think of it as a
man’s job. Julie has a way of writing that helps you believe the woman character
is just as strong as the men! The terrorist plot in this story scares me. I am
sure that this has been attempted at some point or that it will be and that is
frightening. I also enjoyed the ending of this book. That the happily ever
after was something that they had to work for and that it didn’t just happen
naturally. That is something you don’t see very often in books. I thought it
was a great touch! As always I loved reading one of Julie’s books!

Rafe Kelly never thought he’d fall in love with Claire Michaels, the hostage negotiator sent to get him out of a life or death situation. Though it was easy to see from the beginning that Claire was good at her profession, Rafe quickly realized she was even better for him personally―and that they might have a future together.
When they get back from their mission in Afghanistan, however, Claire goes back to the Hostage Negotiation Team and Rafe is left to deal with the huge hole in his life after leaving the SEALs. Trying to balance an uncertain future with a new relationship is made even more complicated when a family crisis strikes. Will Rafe and Claire be able to turn to each other for strength or are they over before they’ve really begun?
(Takes place directly following All Fall Down Hostage Negotiation Team #1)
MY THOUGHTS:
This was a great little novella to help you to get to know Claire and Rafe's story better! I liked the connection they had with each other from the start and how they were looking out for each other. I had forgotten all the exciting things that happen for them in Ashes Ashes and had to go back and remind myself :) (a little embarrassing on my part) It made their story even sweeter to have that reminder, so I was glad I needed to do it, sometimes my mind gets away from me. I love these side looks of the characters that the Authors give us because it helps us to fall in love with them even more. This story is such a great one and so sweet. I can't wait to read more about Claire and Rafe in the other books! I really do love all of the hostage negotiation team series :) All in all it was another great book by Julie!
Note: I was gifted this book by the Author in exchange for an honest review!

MY THOUGHTS:
I LOVED THIS BOOK! I continue to be impressed with Julie's style of writing! I am excited to be able to start another series since I am almost done with the Hostage Negotiation ones. The suspense in her novels is awesome! You are hooked from the start and although they have a bit of clean romance they have enough action that they are great for any reader. I know that my teenager will love her books! I love that she is able to write so much action and suspense yet keep them clean from bad words and such. Just like anything else you don't need smut to sell a great book (or movie). Julie definitely proves that in her books! If you haven't tried her books yet you should!

They say to keep your friends close and your enemies closer . . .
Hostage Negotiation Team member Bart Gutierrez is shocked to find Lucy Aguayo, a girl he knew as a teenager, working for the deadly Castillo drug cartel. This revelation uncovers a secret in Bart's family so big it forces him to accept a dangerous offer: infiltrate the cartel to keep his family safe. Once inside the cartel’s headquarters he discovers that a large-scale attack on America is imminent and the only way to prevent it is to bring Lucy in on his plans---and hope she doesn’t betray him.
Lucy Aguayo has become a key player in the Castillo cartel, but not for money or power---she's on a mission of vengeance for her father's murder. Just when she gets a chance to bring down the cartel leader responsible, Bart Gutierrez appears, stirring up buried feelings and disrupting all her plans. But as the enemy closes in from all sides, Lucy must choose between being free from her past or finding justice for it. Can she give up everything she’s ever worked for and reach for something more?
MY THOUGHTS:
This book had all the action and excitement of the first book in the series! It will keep you on the edge of your seat. I loved learning more about someone else on the Hostage Negotiation Team. There are quite a few twists and surprises in this book! I couldn't put it down until I was done! I loved the suspense and the hints of romance. I hope Julie eventually does a spin off of Bart and Lucy's story like she has done with the others! All in all it was a great book! Like her others it makes it on the list of books for my teenage son to read!
