Ten Seconds to Dead by: L.A. Clayton

ABOUT THE BOOK:
Ten seconds may be all she has left ...
Kate Edison witnesses her father’s death and, in order to keep his memory alive, decides to follow in his footsteps by joining the CIA. She molds herself into becoming exactly what the CIA is looking for---and captures their interest, both personally and professionally. But before she can finish the CIA process, Kate is offered a position as an espionage agent in another highly secretive government agency, which she accepts.
While completing her agency training, Kate is catapulted into a shadowy world where wealth and power are the ultimate goal, and those in charge will stop at nothing to get it. While on the job, Kate uncovers secrets that, if revealed, would cost her life, but if kept, could bring down a nation. Isolated and unsure of who to trust, she brings in a fellow agent, but pulling him into the web of conspiracy and lies puts a target on both their backs - and it will take every skill they’ve ever learned as agents to stay alive long enough to stop the enemy no one else can see.
MY THOUGHTS:
This book was all kinds of intense and action packed. I loved it! There are a few parts that are a little slower but it is still an edge of your seat page turner. PLUS Kate is awesome! I loved her and her desire to learn and help people. Her story is such a great one and the friends she made all have great personalities that just add to the story. I really hope that we get to see some more of her AGI friends in the next book! On that note, AGI is all sorts of messed up haha the reality that something like that probably exists makes this book even more intense. For a first time Author she did an amazing job! I can’t wait to see her writing develop and grow and she writes more!

Just a Name

ABOUT THE BOOK:
Holly has a plan for everything. But she never could have planned for this.
Holly Murphy’s perfectly planned life is not going so well. Her fiancé recently dumped her, the team she supervises at work secretly hates her, and now the promotion she’s worked so hard for is in jeopardy.
Thinking that maybe Holly is too tightly wound and needs a break from everything, Holly’s boss demands she take a vacation. Holly’s best friend Quinn comes up with a wild idea for Holly to do a nationwide search for a man with the same name as her ex-fiancé to go with her on her honeymoon trip. That idea is a no-go for play-it-safe Holly, until her boss finds out and loves the idea.
Resigned, Holly gives in and starts the nationwide search, and when handsome Nate Jones from Newport Beach gets picked to go with her, she wonders if this whole thing won’t be so bad after all.
Will Holly learn that sometimes even the best laid plans need to be thrown out the window once in a while? Or will it send her running and screaming back to her safety net?

MY THOUGHTS:
I loved this one. It was such a fun book! I missed the humor from her other books but I loved the story line! Holly is a lot like me doesn’t like change and is good with the way things are lol. It’s good for us all to be pushed out of our comfort zones once in a while. Don’t want to give any spoilers so I’ll just say.... I Would have loved an epilogue update at the end but maybe we will get that in the next book... can’t wait for more from this Author she’s amazing!

MY THOUGHTS:
I loved this book so much! I think it might be my favorite of Jennifer Peel’s rIght now! All her stuff is amazing though! Piper and Jace have amazing chemistry and you can’t help but fall in love with them both. We all want to protect our hearts from hurt especially after being burned. Piper has to be careful for some many reasons. I was sad this one was so short because I didn’t want it to end. I’m hoping more of their story will be in book 2 can’t wait for it to come out!

"Dear fans of Bridget Jones, Sophie Kinsella, and Marian Keyes, I have found an American author for you to meet and watch!" -Andi's Book Reviews ★★★★★

MY THOUGHTS:
I have had this on my to-read pile for a while and when book club suggested it I finally had reason to bump it to the top.  I have to say I loved it. It's a little more 'laid back' than the other books I read but it is a lot of fun. If I had any skills as a writer I feel like this is the style my own book would be. I really felt a connection with the characters and found myself rooting for good things to happen! This was my first book by this Author and I really did enjoy it a lot can't wait to read the next one in this series!
