ABOUT THE BOOK:
Gabby St. Claire Thomas and her Cold Case Squad reunite to solve a missing person’s case.
A friend of Gabby’s husband needs help. His wife, Brooke, went to work one day and never returned home. No one has seen or heard from the woman in four months, and every lead has dried up.
Gabby and her team begin to unravel clues about Brooke’s life . . . and not all is as it seems. With each new layer that’s revealed, they realize the case may be bigger than they ever imagined. Did Brooke walk away from her life . . . or did she become ensnared in something deadly?
Gabby fears this investigation won’t be the clean sweep she hoped for. No, the dirt she’s turning up might be more of a toxic stain. But as the stakes become clear, she realizes that failure isn’t an option.
MY THOUGHTS:
It was fun to read Gabby and the gang again, it’s been a while. Loved all the twists and turns of this one! This Author always pulls you in quickly and keep you interested until the end! Can’t wait to read more!

Clean Getaway (Squeaky Clean Mysteries Book 13) by: Christy Barritt
ABOUT THE BOOK:
Gabby St. Claire Thomas has been given the opportunity of a lifetime: heading up a privately funded Cold Case Squad and handpicking the team members. Persnickety Evie Manson and nerdy Sherman Gilbert join forces with Gabby to bring justice and solace to families who still want answers.
On their first case, the Squad discovers that the murders of Ron and Margie Simmons are more than cold—they’re frozen solid. The couple’s anniversary celebration ended as a double homicide, and ten years later their daughter still longs for answers. But who would kill the loving couple? What kind of secrets hid beneath their cheery, All-American exteriors? With every new lead, someone tries to sabotage their investigation . . . but the team might just end up being their own worst enemies. As a deadline presses in, can Gabby and her Squad bring the heat? Or will this cold-case killer make a clean getaway?
MY THOUGHTS:
This Author continues to amaze me with every book she writes. I love this new spin off to the Squeaky Clean series. Gabby and Evie are shaping up to be an interesting pair. It will be fun to see how their relationship develops over time. This murder was a little easier for me to figure out than some of her other books but I still thoroughly enjoyed reading it. In fact, I am sick and should be sleeping but couldn't put it down once I got towards the end. Great book, amazing detail and description, fun characters! I loved all the song references and the mention of kopi luwak coffee. I'm not of coffee drinker, at all, but I learned of kopi luwak coffee watching the movie The Bucket List. Funny, but disgusting. Can't wait to read more in the Cold Case Files!

Cunning Attractions by: Christy Barritt
ABOUT THE BOOK:
Politics. Love. Murder.
Radio talk show host Bill McCormick is in his prime. He’s dating a supermodel, his book is a bestseller, and his ratings have skyrocketed during the heated election season.
But when Bill’s ex-wife, Emma Jean, turns up dead, the media and his detractors assume the opinionated loudmouth is guilty of her murder. Bill’s on-air rants about his demon-possessed ex don’t help his case. Did someone realize that Bill was the perfect scapegoat? Or could Bill have silenced his Ice Queen ex once and for all?
Gabby Thomas takes on the case, but she soon realizes that Emma Jean had too many enemies to count. From election conspiracy theories to scorned affections and hidden secrets, Emma Jean left a trail of trouble as her legacy. Gabby is determined to follow the twisted path until she finds answers.
As Gabby comes closer to casting her vote for the guilty party, the stakes rise, tensions heat, and her own life is endangered. Will she be able to do a recount as votes are cast about who the murderer is? Or was this whole crime rigged from the start?

MY THOUGHTS:
I
love this series so much! It's still the only thing my teenaged son
with read. Even after 12 books I don't want it to end but I felt like
the Author is starting to kind of wrap things up in this book. There
were so many surprises for me in this one. I really enjoyed that it
wasn't predictable. It is great to see so many good things happening to
Gabby and Riley you really fall in love with them both over the series
of books. Can't wait for more in this series or from this Author.
Note: I was gifted a copy of this book but all opinions are my own.

Swept Away (Squeaky Clean Mysteries 11.5) by: Chrsity Barritt
ABOUT THE BOOK:
Finding the perfect place for a honeymoon, away from any potential danger or mystery, is challenging. But Gabby’s longtime love and newly minted husband, Riley Thomas, has done it. He has found a location with a nonexistent crime rate, a mostly retired population, and plenty of opportunities for relaxation in the warm sun.
Within minutes of the newlyweds’ arrival, a convoy of vehicles descends on a nearby house, and their honeymoon oasis is destroyed like a sandcastle in a storm. Despite Gabby’s and Riley’s determination to keep to themselves, trouble comes knocking at their door—literally—when a neighbor is abducted from the beach directly outside their rental.
Will Gabby and Riley be swept away with each other during their honeymoon . . . or will a tide of danger and mayhem pull them under?
Fiction/Christian/Mystery
MY THOUGHTS:
I LOVE the squeaky clean series and Swept Away was surprise addition I didn't know was coming! It was an awesome surprise. True Squeaky fans have been waiting to see a happy ending between Gabby and Riley. This is everything you have been waiting for. Where their relationship really comes together as one and they are in love and working together. This is a fast paced mystery they work together to solve it. Another excellent book for this series they just keep getting better! Great job Christy!

ABOUT THIS BOOK:
The squeaky clean series never
disappoints. They are edge of your seat thrillers. This one is just as awesome
as all the others. It is like a episode of Scooby Doo full of mystery and
bigfoot and even a MURDER! I couldn’t put this book down and read it in a day.
My favorite lines from the book set the stage for it perfectly…. “I sighed. Life could be like a
rollercoaster and, at the moment, I really preferred a quiet train ride through
the countryside. I longed for it. I was fighting desperately to turn my
thoughts around, but it was so difficult sometimes. If I could just play it
safe—and not take any chances—for a little while, then maybe my heart could
recover, and my actions could match.” Trust me when I say you don’t want to
miss this one and for those avid squeaky clean fans it has some important
moments you have been waiting for! Awesome job Christy! This. Book. Was.
Awesome!
Note: I was given this book by the
Author in exchange for an honest review!

MY THOUGHTS:
This was such a fun mystery about a city girl who moves to a small town and her next door neighbor is murdered. She decides that she wants to try to solve the murder. I love Christy's squeaky clean series so it was fun to read another of her mystery books. This one will have you guessing until the end! My favorite line from this book..."I understand that sometimes life takes you in a different direction than you'd planned, and you can either pout about it or make the best of it."As always Christy's books are awesome!

Dust and Obey (Squeaky Clean Mysteries Book 10) by: Christy Barritt
ABOUT THE BOOK:
When Gabby St. Claire’s ex-fiancé, Riley Thomas, asks for her help in investigating a possible murder at a couples’ retreat, she knows she should say no. She knows she should run far, far away from the danger of both being around Riley and the crime.
But her nosy instincts and determination take precedent over her logic. At the retreat center she feels like she’s stepped into the pages of a creepy gothic novel: an isolated island that’s often foggy, an old lodge with a dark history, and a small pool of suspects who each have either motive, means, or opportunity for murder. When another life is threatened, the risk intensifies.
Gabby and Riley must work together to find the killer. In the process, they have to confront demons from their past and deal with their present relationship. If they don’t learn to trust each other, they could both end up as fodder for the supposedly cursed island’s folklore.

MY THOUGHTS:
I couldn't wait for this book to come out! This series just keeps getting better and better! I absolutely loved this book! It's a good thing I had a house full of sick kids laying around because I couldn't put it down. I ended up staying up until almost 2am to finish it. My favorite line from this book is, " I knew I was loved by my Creator. I would never find my wholeness in anyone but him. So I pressed on." This book is full of suspense and will keep you on your toes. If you want to know which guy Gabby chooses or what Sierra and Chad's baby is going to be then this is the book you have been waiting for. This book feels like it redeems all the hard feelings and emotions you get from the other books not going the way YOU thought they would. Christy obviously has it all planned out so well and this book will leave you with a big smile. It's exactly how I hoped everything would turn out so far. It's full of mystery and murder and excitement and all the other things you expect from Gabby St. Claire! I can't wait for the next one! Awesome job Christy as always!
