ABOUT THE BOOK:

MY THOUGHTS:
This is the first Christy Barritt book that I read and I was
hooked after that! There is so much suspense in this book as Daleigh tries to
discover what happened to her Father. No one believes her even though she is a
famous country singer so when she is able to rely on Ryan they start to form a
special friendship that she tries so hard to keep that way. I like how Christy
portrays her as a regular girl trying to solve her Dads murder instead of a
famous person where things just fall into place because she has money. The murderers are still willing to kill her so
that the truth doesn’t come out. She end up constantly in danger and trust me
you will not want to put this book down! It was a great read!

MY THOUGHTS:
WOW! That is my first reaction after reading this book. It
grabs you from the first page. You will never think of the song Ring Around the
Rosie the same again! This book was full of action and excitement. I could not
put it down. I’m not sure if there really are Female hostage negotiators out
there but Claire definitely fits the part! I really do believe that a bond and
friendship like the one Claire and Rafe had would be formed in a situation like
this. I loved this book! I just bought
the next 2 in the series I can’t wait to read them!

MY THOUGHTS:
I don’t usually read books like this. It was harder for me
to get thru than the other 2 in the set. It was definitely and interesting view
on the Middle East and the gulf war times that I don’t really think about. I
really hope that if someone were captured it wouldn’t take them months to
realize it or even more months to be set free but I am sure it happens. I do
feel that the Author let Theresa off easy. For the sake of the book I think it
worked but somehow I feel it if were real life they would have treated her much
more terribly as harsh as the sounds. All in all it was a good book. Just not
my usual path of interest!
