ABOUT THIS BOOK:
The squeaky clean series never disappoints. They are edge of your seat thrillers. This one is just as awesome as all the others. It is like a episode of Scooby Doo full of mystery and bigfoot and even a MURDER! I couldn’t put this book down and read it in a day. My favorite lines from the book set the stage for it perfectly…. “I sighed. Life could be like a rollercoaster and, at the moment, I really preferred a quiet train ride through the countryside. I longed for it. I was fighting desperately to turn my thoughts around, but it was so difficult sometimes. If I could just play it safe—and not take any chances—for a little while, then maybe my heart could recover, and my actions could match.” Trust me when I say you don’t want to miss this one and for those avid squeaky clean fans it has some important moments you have been waiting for! Awesome job Christy! This. Book. Was. Awesome!
Note: I was given this book by the Author in exchange for an honest review!

Shaken, but unable to let go, Adri’s sleuthing leads her into more danger than she bargained for. When a number of “accidents” threaten her own life, it soon becomes apparent that someone will do anything to keep Adri from interfering with their vengeance.
For great craft tips, visit Adri's website, www.mashedpotatoesandcrafts.com.

MY THOUGHTS:
I loved this book. How awesome would be to to get to go on "vacation" for work! Adri gets to fly to Hawaii for the upcoming wedding she is planning. She finds a dead body, she meets a gorgeous 'local', she gets to experience a lot of things she normally wouldn't. All while be threatened, and almost killed a few times. It seems like nothing is meant to go her way but she still has a great time and earns the attention of 2 great guys! (I chose my favorite guy early on! I won't spoil it by telling you who she picks but I was happy with her choice). This book has romance and action and adventure! I loved it, can't wait for number 3 in a few weeks!

Mountain Hideaway by: Christy Barritt

ABOUT THE BOOK:
NO SAFE HAVEN

After being caught collecting evidence on her ex-boyfriend's criminal dealings, Tessa Jones has no choice but to go into hiding. She feels safe in her mountain refuge, right up until private investigator Trent McCabe comes knocking—and bullets start flying their way. Now for the second time, Tessa is on the run. And Trent's mission has shifted from tracking down a missing person to keeping the brave beauty alive. Trent once lost a woman in his care, and he won't make the same mistake again. But Tessa trusts no one—not even Trent. Out in the wilderness with danger closing in, Tessa must make a choice: rely on the handsome stranger…or take her chances with a killer.

MY THOUGHTS:
This book was awesome! I loved it. I know, I say that about every book... But seriously Tessa is the woman all of us ladies hope we can be. I don't think I would be strong and smart and brave In a life and death situation but I really hope I am. I had to have surgery and I turned into this big scared baby lol. This book is action packed! There are so many close calls and tense moments that I didn't want to put the book down. Then you throw in Trent and it makes things even better! People always say bonds are tighter when you go thru things together and that is defiantly the case with Tessa and Trent! This is one book you don't want to miss! Great job Christy!

The Good Girl by: Christy Barritt

ABOUT THE BOOK:
What's a good girl to do when life goes bad?

Tara Lancaster can sing Amazing Grace in three harmonies, two languages, and interpret it for the hearing impaired. She can list the Bible canon backward, forward, and alphabetized. And the only time she ever missed church was at seventeen because she had pneumonia and her mom made her stay home.

But when her life shatters around her and her reputation is left in ruins, Tara decides escape is the only option. She flees halfway across the country to dog-sit, but the quiet anonymity she needs isn't waiting in her sister's house. Instead she finds a knife with a threatening message, a fame-hungry friend, a too-hunky neighbor, and evidence of...a ghost?

Following all the rules has gotten her nowhere. And nothing she learned in Sunday School can tell her where to go from there.

"The Good Girl is at turns scary, funny, passionate and quirky...the perfect book to carry in your beach bag." ~ USA Today

MY THOUGHTS:
I loved this book! Tara was like me in a lot of ways I was known as the smart goody two shoe church girl all through High School. It didn't really bother me and I was proud of it! I helped me relate to her character though. Christy Barritt is awesome with edge of your seat mysteries and although I have read all of her newer books this one was just as great as the others! She has a real talent for writing and for a great thriller l! As always her books rock and she stays in the top 3 of my favorite Authors!

Broken Things to Mend (Power of the Matchmaker) by Karey White

Broken Things to Mend (Power of the Matchmaker) by Karey White

ABOUT THE BOOK:
***This book is part of a multi-author project that features one recurring character--the match maker--but it is a STAND-ALONE novel.***

Celia is in desperate need of a change--a change of scenery, a change of pace, and a complete redo of all relationships. Not knowing what else to do, she opens a map, closes her eyes, and lets fate decide her future. Then she packs her meager belongings and buys a one-way ticket to a little town on the fringes of Oregon's Deschutes National Forest called Sisters. She's wanted a family for years. Will she find one in Sisters?

What Celia doesn't plan to find is a strange Chinese woman whose meddling ways keep throwing her in the path of a handsome, but reserved, forest ranger. But no matter how kind or dependable Silas seems to be, there are some things in Celia's past that neither of them can escape, and this time, the damage might be too much to mend.

MY THOUGHTS:
I loved this story! I thought it was a great start to the Power of the Matchmaker series. I was a little surprised that the matchmaker is only in the beginning but I guess she wasn't really needed to make the story great. Silas and Celia both have had hard lives and I think my favorite line from the book will help you see the attitude they both have about it! "It isn’t a contest to see whose life is harder. Everyone has hard things. I don’t want you to feel sorry for me.” I love that they both have kind of an instant understanding of each other and are slowly able to build a friendship! All in all great book! Can't wait for the next one in this series!

MY THOUGHTS:
This was such a quick fun read. It is included in one of the Timeless Romance Anthologies and  they always have great stories. I loved this one! Rogue (Tru Exceptions - Christian Romantic Suspense Book 4) by: Amanda Tru

Rogue (Tru Exceptions - Christian Romantic Suspense Book 4) by: Amanda Tru

ABOUT THE BOOK:
When the more honorable action requires a little treason...

Homeland security agent Kelsey Johnson never wanted the assignment, especially when it involves coercing Garrett Matthews, a man she despises. But instead of delivering Agent Matthews his new orders, Kelsey finds herself on the run and caught in the same mess Garrett was ordered to retreat from.

With their lives at stake, Garrett and Kelsey are now considered the enemies, and are being hunted by everyone, including their own department.

With their friends, Rachel and Dawson, their only help, Kelsey and Garrett must evade those intent on killing them and locate the evidence to clear their names before their powerful enemy catches up with them. Unsure of even the existence of such redeeming evidence, they may be forced to seek help fro the very enemy who started it all.

Unfortunately, there is a reason Kelsey has never been a field agent--a well-guarded secret that puts both her and Garrett's lives at risk. Though she knows she can't be trusted, she also can't bring herself to confide in Garrett, wanting to believe that the ghosts of her past won't haunt her.

But in the end, with her life a trigger's breath from being over, and a secret that could change the entire country on the line, will her own secret cost her everything?

MY THOUGHTS:
The Tru exception series is probably my favorite series EVER. The first one in the set "Baggage Claim" is my all time favorite book. I have been waiting for this one to come out for over a year and it was worth the wait. It is action packed and full of suspense. I loved getting to know more about Kelsey's story. She and Garrett have the typical love/hate relationship and when they are forced to work together, as their lives depend on it, it makes an awesome story! This one will have you on the Edge of your seat the whole time so make sure you set aside a whole day to read it. I couldn't put it down. Amanda's books are the best and one of these days she will be discovered and they going to be made into movies!  They. Are. That. Good! As always Amanda awesome, awesome book! Loved it!

Vocal Crush by: Lisa Swinton

ABOUT THE BOOK:
Can you ever out run a broken heart?
Lexi Court spent seven years traveling the world, living the nomadic Broadway life, in an attempt to outrun the broken heart Nick Rivers gave her. Now, there’s nowhere left to go.

When she accepted a position as a high school drama teacher in Las Vegas, Lexi hoped to get over Nick, find a nice guy, and settle down. But what should be a quiet summer gets turned upside down when Lexi's best friend, Taffy, drafts her to be an emergency replacement coach on a televised vocal competition.

Feeling out of her league among the other three celebrity coaches, Lexi fights for the most promising contestants to be on her team. One note from a single voice shatters her summer. Nick unexpectedly auditions and joins Lexi's team. With her vocal crush on him raging as strong as ever, she has nowhere to run from Nick’s dreamy looks or siren voice.

Lexi has no doubt that Nick can win the competition. The question is does he want to win her heart as well or will he damage it beyond repair?

Think television reality show The Voice meets Jane Austen’s Persuasion.

MY THOUGHTS:
I loved this book I couldn't put it down. I loved that Lexi was able to find such a great friend in Grant. It is always good to have someone to vent to. I understand Lexi wanting to run from the pain and not face the reality of what happened and I love that Nick finally manned up and was willing to fight for her. That is what every girl really wants a man to love them and to fight for them. This was a great book. Can't wait for the next one from Lisa so far I've loved them all!

The Passionate One By:Jeanette Lewis

ABOUT THE BOOK:
As the creator of the Billionaire Bride Pact, Erin Parker is determined to see it through. And now that wealthy, gorgeous Brennan Avery has been cast as her costar in a play destined for Broadway, things couldn’t be better. But Erin’s best friend, Matt Walters, isn’t ready to give up on her. He has a plan to escape the friend zone and prove to Erin that there are more important things than money and fame.

With an introduction by Lucy McConnell and a bonus chapter from The Resilient One by Cami Checketts.

MY THOUGHTS:
Another great book for this series! I loved that Matt and Erin had such a great friendship. It is important to have the kind of bond with someone and I think most of us do find that in our spouses. I loved reading more background on some of the other girls that will be in this series and I also loved that she realized that sticking to the pact wasn't as important as her happiness! It also got me interested in glass blowing I may have to look into taking the flower class. Sounds like fun! Can't wait for more in this series!

Brownies & Betrayal (Sweet Bites Mysteries, Book 1) by: Heather Justesen

Brownies & Betrayal (Sweet Bites Mysteries, Book 1) by: Heather Justesen

 ABOUT THE BOOK:
Pastry chef Tess Crawford thought moving from Chicago to quiet Silver Springs, Arizona would simplify her life. That was before she found the body of a woman with whom she had traded heated words the previous night, left her fingerprints on the murder weapon, and came under attack for trying to clear her name. When her cheating ex-fiance shows up, intent on convincing her to come back to work for him, Tess—armed with an extra batch of éclairs—decides to take control and solve the mystery herself, with the help of friends and frenemies alike.

But will that be enough to save her when she gets too close and the killer decides it’s safer to get her out of the way?

MY THOUGHTS:
I've been wanting to start this series for a while. It was such a fun read and a great little mystery. Tess just moved back to her small home town to open a bakery when she discovers a dead body. When she becomes a suspect in the murder she figures she better try to shove the case so she doesn't end up in jail. I like the addition of the recipes in the book. I can't wait to try out the eclair one and see how good they are. Can't wait to read the next one in this set!

Now, Alyssa must face her past or lose her future.

Bonus chapter from The Passionate One, A Billionaire Bride Pact Romance by Jeanette Lewis.

MY THOUGHTS:
What a great start to what will be an awesome series, I can tell! I love love loved this book. I could not put it down (believe me - you should see my house lol). The instant bond that Lyssa and Beck shared is what makes this book so great. Even with them both having insecurities and imperfections they were able to trust each other and build a relationship quickly. We all need someone like that in life. I also like the lesson this book taught, that even though someone we love might do something horrible we should be able to work through it and forgive them. Cami had me hooked from the start and 'bonding' with all the characters. Her books just keep getting better and better! I can't wait to read more from her and the next one in this series!

MY THOUGHTS:
I LOVED THIS NOVELLA! When Cami writes a book she has this way of grabbing you and she makes you feel like the characters are people you would want to be friends with. This story was such a great one. A Dad struggling to give his kid a good Christmas. And who doesn't love a good happily ever ever? This light hearted Christmas novella is just what I needed to lift my spirits! I have been kind of off lately and I had a sick child yesterday. Reading this book is just what I needed to make my day great and get a jump start on my reading goal for the year! If you are looking for a light-hearted feel good read this should be your pick. The Captive by; Julie Coulter Bellon

ABOUT THE BOOK:

Their only hope is Mya Amari, the daughter of a notorious Algerian hostage negotiator, but she is full of secrets and complications–something Jake takes as a personal challenge. As they grow closer, the threat to the mission escalates and time runs out for the hostages. Can Jake unravel the web of deception to save them all without getting caught in the crossfire?

Mya Amari has been in hiding nearly her entire life to escape her father’s enemies. But when her sister is kidnapped along with an American diplomat, she’ll do anything to bring her home–including walking into the enemy’s lair. She doesn’t trust anyone, especially the too-handsome-for-his-own-good Commander Williams, but when all her careful plans explode out of control, he’s the only one she can turn to with the truth about her family. Is it too little, too late?

MY THOUGHTS:
This book stays true to Julie Bellon form! It is full of action, suspense, terrorists and even some romance. Julie has a way of taking the good out of a bad situation and making it enjoyable to read about! I can't wait until my 10 year old gets a little older because I think Julie will be come his favorite Author. He loves military and guns and missions and wants to be a SEAL someday. As with all her other books, this is an edge of your seat page turner. If you haven't tried on of Julie's books yet you should. I can't wait to read more from the Griffen Force! Great job Julie!
